Hi, I’m Puddin. I live near Cincinnati, OH. I’ve got a beautiful wife, the Puddinette, who puts up with a bunch of nonsense from me and four awesome kids: The Puddinpop (10), Mini-Me (9), Princess Puddinette (7), and The Attitude (4).
Since I was young, I’d always thought I’d be a writer when I actually grew up. Out of laziness and fear, though, I never quite started on any of the many novel ideas dancing about in my head like sugarplums. Finally, in early 2010, I decided it was time to put up or shut put; either I need to start writing, or I needed to stop kidding myself.
Surprisingly, that actually ended up working. I even finally have a finished novel to show for it. So here we are.
I guess the next question is: “Puddin”, really? What in the name of Henry David Thoreau is with that nickname. Ah, well, you see, um… Ahem. You know what? If you want to know, shoot me an email and ask or drop a comment about it below.
So, to sum up, I write software for a living, write words — for this blog, for a beer blog (Hoperatives.com), occasionally for other blogs if so requested, and/or for the latest book I’m endeavoring to finish — in my spare time, and in between try not to ruin my child before they reach adulthood.
Oh, and I’m working on that whole getting published thing, too. Feel free to mention me to your literary agent friends!
Do you have comments or suggestions? Any other questions about who I am or why I do this? Don’t ever be afraid to ask. I value your opinions. God knows that heeding my own has never gotten me anywhere good.
PS: If you’re wondering about the seemingly non sequitur reference in the blog tagline, it’s from a post…somewhere. See if you can find which one!
