I’m not sure who came up with this design. I’m not sure green stripes and orange stripes and red stripes and…pink (?) is a combination even The Joker would seriously have contemplated. Like, clowns looked at these in the store and were like, “Uh, maybe not. Better stick with the crimson nose and 18-inch lime green shoes”
Seriously, when Ronald McDonald is questioning your color choices, you may want to rethink your decision making processes.
But you know what? I like them. Maybe they aren’t the socks voted Most Likely to Cover GQ, but I’m okay with that. I’d feel a little weird on the back insert of GQ, let alone the cover, so this works for me. And, besides, the theme of this whole thing was and is still, Be. Different. I’d say this pair of Ugly Ducklings does the job right.
