Sometimes you move into a new neighborhood, but you’re an introvert and you worry if your new neighbors will “get you”.
Sometimes you get really lucky, and they accept you for who you are.
Sometimes one of those awesome neighbors is among the sweetest, brightest people you’ve ever met, who always has a smile and makes it easy to chat, even if you’re never sure what to say.
And sometimes cancer steals that person from her family and her friends and her neighbors because cancer fucking sucks.
And at that time, the best you can do is wear socks that make how you feel exceedingly clear.
Today’s socks are for Rachel; the backyard will never be quite the same.
*If you know someone fighting cancer that would appreciate a care package of socks, or just would like to share your story, check out Hallie’s Hope.
