A picture instead a thousand words

Having wrapped up the initial drafting of Project Macaroni, you might be wondering what’s on my mind now.  Well, of course, there’s the usual stuff: work, family, trying to survive any given weeknight without the supernatural ability to split my consciousness into separate pieces and be in multiple places at once.  Oh, also, the “cooling off” period with the project is officially over now.  Which means it’s time to roll up my sleeves and get to revising it, lest it never become the Best Novel It Can Be, which will subsequently make my agent cry heavy tears.

I think we can all agree that nobody wants to be responsible for making their agent weep. I mean, unless it’s because you took the last scone or something.  Even then, it’s kind of a dick move to steal the last scone. Don’t be a dick. While you’re at it, avoid being the cause of your agent’s Tears of Regret™.

Anyway. So it’s revising time. But that’s not all that’s on my mind at the moment.  There’s something else, too, something we’ll talk about it soon.  Maybe tomorrow.  For now, though, I’ll leave you with this:

I first posted the picture you see above roughly a year ago, and it’s been flitting in and out of my whirly, novel-crazed brain compartment for weeks now. So I’m just going to let you ponder it. Be prepared to discuss soon.

But not today.

Because revisions, y’all. They are a harsh mistress.
