Socks for Social Distancing, Day 38

It’s Monday today, which got me having some pretty Monday thoughts. While I try not to dwell on the downsides and limitations inherent in all the social distancing we’re currently navigating, sometimes it’s hard to see past them. I miss seeing the guys on Monday nights. Also,it was really a bummer for the kids when the governor announced today that all the schools in our state would finish the year via non-traditional instruction for the next month or so and would not be going physically back at all.

Thankfully, there are always a few upsides, if you know where to look. For instance, at 5:30 PM this evening, when I closed the laptop for the day, Happy Hour was no further than 20 feet away, out on the patio with the wife, a nice cozy fire, and the wine of her choosing. Plus, as an added bonus, it’s always pretty sweet when Happy Hour gives you the chance to show off today’s color-splashed argyle.

Take heart, kids, the week is only going to look up from here! But, that said, when you need to take a moment and just be pissed at the world, definitely 100% go for it.

I’m happy to shake my fist at the sky right along with you.
