For more than twenty years, I’ve been going out with friends from college for a drink on Monday nights. Not consecutively, mind you. There have obviously been weeks when life was busy doing its thing, getting in the way, and otherwise preventing us from getting together. But in all those years, if more than two people could make it, we did our Monday night thing.
That is, up until two weeks ago.
As we weather the storm of staying home, we’re texting each other a lot. But that still leaves a very obvious hole in the week every Monday evening. There’s no telling if we’ll find a viable alternative in the coming weeks–A Monday Night Zoom just doesn’t quite do the thing justice, I’m afraid–so until then, I’m declaring Monday to be Movie Night.
Obviously, that requires the appropriate socks.
If anyone needs me tonight, I’ll be parked in front of my 4k TV, sipping a beverage, and, quite probably, live tweeting the exercise. I’m thinking it’s either going to be The Bourne Identity or The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.
What are you doing with your Monday nights in lockdown? Let us know in the comments, and have a good evening!

If I had socks like yours, I might not be desperately trying to finish reading blog posts before bedtime.
